Learn Brickadia wiring

How Brickadia's gates and wires actually work — explained simply, with worked examples. Start with the idea, then dig into any of the gates.

The idea in 30 seconds

1

You place gates and drag wires between them

Each gate is a brick you place in the world. It has input ports on one side and output ports on the other. You build logic by dragging a wire from one gate's output port to the next gate's input port.

2

Some settings are typed in, not wired

A gate also has properties you set in its panel — like a Counter's Count, or a Timer's limit. These are set by hand, not fed by a wire. On each gate page they're listed separately as "configuration properties".

3

Two kinds of wire: exec and value

Value wires carry data — a number, a position, an on/off. Exec wires carry timing: they decide WHEN a gate fires, not what. Spotting which ports are exec vs value is the thing that makes wiring click.
